As a young woman not sure
of my own future, I wondered
what it would be like to be a
mother. Recently, I received the
precious opportunity to sculpt a
mother and her daughter.
When they first came to my studio,
I realized that this little person
was completely happy and free.
From the first time we worked
together, the baby's arms were
outstretched, excited to grasp life.
The mother, on the other hand,
was more reserved and almost
shy. It was as if her daughter
had become a new beacon
of light guiding her.
