Men and women rarely
dance together as equals in
traditional ballet. If the woman
is dancing it is the man who
often serves as a support and
lifts her. If the man is dancing,
the woman is rarely on stage.
To me this does not exemplify life.
I wanted to create a piece that
resonated with the way I feel
about men and women:
Dancing together in Harmony,
tender and accepting of each
other, yet completely grounded
in their own oneness – and most
important – equal.
